Markazul Ilm LiNisaa wa Banaat Scholarship Fund

Mission Statement

The Markazul Ilm LiNisaa wa Banaat Scholarship Fund is dedicated to helping potential and existing students who wish to further their Arabic and Islamic education in effort to obtain the blessing of Sadaqah Jariyah.

 

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."

Our goal is to help females within the Islamic Community achieve their personal religious goals, an objective which will have the added benefit of bettering the community at large. Our goal is Jannah and receiving the blessing attached to assisting the Muslimaat in obtaining an Islamic education, calling to the religion and cultivating the community.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Recipient must be a female.

  • Recipient must be at least 16 years of age.

  • Recipient must be a potential or existing student.

  • Recipient must enroll the semester directly following the receipt of scholarship award.

  • Recipient must complete entire semester or the scholarship is forfeited.

  • Scholarship will be awarded to two students each semester

  • Scholarship is for one beginner Arabic and one intermediate Arabic student.

  • Scholarship is not renewable: application is required each semester.
